Why a Beaver Dam Pepper Festival?

A while ago, the Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce posted on their Facebook page about the Beaver Dam Pepper, that is actually named after the City of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Some people posted they knew about it, but apparently it was still a little-known secret in the rest of the community. When some local citizens discovered that the Beaver Dam Pepper is celebrated in cities throughout the Midwest, but not here in Beaver Dam, they decided the time was right to bring the celebration home!
